The foundation of our organization is the belief that when people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are provided with care that meets their unique needs it enriches their lives and empowers them to participate in the world around them, which enhances quality of life not only for the people receiving care but also for the whole community in which they participate. Continuing in this belief, Yesterday’s Children, Inc. has been supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 30 years.
We currently provide three types of services:
- habilitation services
- group home services
- 24-hour nursing care services
We support men and women of all ages at home and in the community. All programs are based on the principles of normalization, providing services to disabled people with the least restrictive and most normal living, training or working conditions possible. The goal is to promote movement from to a less structured living, learning and training situations, from larger to smaller program units, from dependence to independence, based upon each person’s individual needs and skills.

Our mission is enriching and empowering people – our clients, their families, our staff, our community – to enhance their quality of life.
